Tradewind partner Enel Green Power North America, Inc. (EGP-NA) has announced completed construction and the start of operation for the 320MW Rattlesnake Wind Project in Nebraska, and of the 300MW Diamond Vista Wind Project in Kansas.
The investment in the construction of Rattlesnake Creek totaled around 430 million U.S. dollars, while the investment in the construction of Diamond Vista was approximately 400 million U.S. dollars.
The Rattlesnake Creek Wind Project is able to generate approximately 1,300 GWh annually. Rattlesnake Creek is fully contracted with long-term agreements, including one power purchase agreement with Facebook to power their data centre in Papillon, Nebraska, and another power purchase agreement with Adobe.
The Diamond Vista Wind Project is able to generate approximately 1,300 GWh each year. Diamond Vista is supported by three long-term power purchase agreements; 100 MW has been sold to Kohler; 100 MW to City Utilities of Springfield; and 84 MW to Tri-County Electric Cooperative of Oklahoma.
