Tradewind Energy is passionate about wind and wind power. In recognition of Global Wind Day on June 15th, our staff put together foam turbine puzzles and decorated the office with them. We are proud to work in an industry that holds so many possibilities in reshaping the future of energy!
In the spirit of celebrating Global Wind Day, we wanted to share a few new photos of the kinetic art exhibit that Tradewind is sponsoring this summer at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. This exhibit has been getting a lot of traffic from our Tradewind staff, local patrons and nearby children. In an effort to make an art and wind power connection for children, Tradewind has incorporated the “Tradewind Energy Whirlwind Coloring Contest” for children K-5th grade. They can enter the contest by picking up a coloring sheet at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens Visitor’s Center. During June, July, and August, two monthly winners will be selected based on their artistic ability and their answer to “I like wind energy because…”.
In addition, Tradewind has donated two educational posters that illustrate how wind energy works, as well as facts and statistics about wind energy. We hope the community will stop in to enjoy the inspiring artwork and learn a little about one of the fastest growing renewable energy resources on the planet!
