A Word About Wind ranks Rob Freeman 9th in first U.S.-specific independent and impartial wind industry influencer report

Tradewind Energy Chief Executive Officer, Rob Freeman, has been named as one of the most influential people in the North American wind energy industry.

The inaugural Wind Industry Report: North American Power List 2018, the first U.S.-focused report published by industry intelligence service A Word About Wind, ranks the major influencers in the U.S. wind energy sector and offers in-depth interviews with leading investors, utilities, and developers.

The power list was released on May 30 at the A Word About Wind event Financing Wind New York, where Freeman was a featured expert panelist who spoke on the steps businesses should take to prepare for the Production Tax Credit (PTC) phase-out.

“It’s an honor to be included in this report, and I thank A Word About Wind for providing opportunities for those of us who work in the wind industry to be connected and inspired,” said Freeman. “I share this recognition with the Tradewind Energy team who is truly the best in the business and continues to take this company to new levels of excellence.”

Mr. Freeman was recognized by the organization last year when he was named in the global report The Top 100 Power People in Wind 2017. With more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, Freeman is a founding member of Tradewind Energy, Inc. and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA).

Under Freeman’s leadership, Tradewind Energy achieved the number one ranking in the country for wind energy developed and installed in 2017, according to the U.S. Wind Industry 2017 Market Report from the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
