Jeff Hammond

Development Manager

Jeff is leading development activities for utility scale wind energy projects in MISO. These efforts include project origination, project feasibility and fatal flaw analysis, competitor assessment, site control and land lease contracts, transmission and interconnection, permitting and regulatory issues, public relations, and management of field staff, consultants and contractors.

Prior to joining the Tradewind team, Jeff was a Principal at Ecology and Environment (E&E) for 9 years. For the first several years at E&E Jeff was responsible for the oversight of a series of large projects that required environmental and permitting studies. Following that Jeff led E&E’s wind and offshore energy business development where he was responsible for full range of environmental and permitting services including successfully developing E&E's renewable energy business.

Before E&E Jeff spent 20+ years in the United States Coast Guard as a commissioned officer. He retired at the rank of Commander after a 4 year tour as Commanding Officer, Group Buffalo, NY.

Jeff holds an MBA from the College of William and Mary and is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy.
