The Rattlesnake Creek Wind Project is located in the rolling hills and high-yielding corn and soybean farmlands of far northeastern Nebraska. The project is located between the towns of Allen, Emerson, and Wakefield in Dixon County, Nebraska.
What transmission line does the project connect with?
The Rattlesnake Creek Wind Project is expected to interconnect with the 230 kV transmission line owned by NPPD that runs east/west through the southern part of the project site.

More than 100 landowners and over 32,000 acres will be involved in the project.

The power from the project will be marketed to both local and regional electric utilities and is also suitable for exporting energy to eastern states.
