Financial Analyst

Our company is growing exponentially —and we are seeking an energetic Financial Analyst to help us develop new business at our Lenexa, Kansas office.

 

Position Summary

Tradewind is seeking a fast-learning and highly motivated Financial Analyst; someone with a pleasant demeanor, can do attitude, and the drive to learn the renewables business.  Attention to detail, accuracy and good written and oral skills are essential.  This person will be a member of the Business Development Team reporting to a Senior Vice President.  The ideal candidate must be organized and articulate, have the ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks and operate from our Lenexa, Kansas office.  Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, model and provide creative and competitive solutions in the valuation and pricing of Tradewind’s projects and potential acquisitions.
  • Track Requests for Proposals (“RFPs”) and prepare project bid proposals. Take a leadership role in coordinating with the development team and management to compile project and pricing details for bid packages. An ability to learn and understand the business is important.
  • Coordinate with management to review and discuss the financial pro forma – project IRR and NPV, tax equity and sponsor returns, depreciation, and fundamental tax and book income matters.
  • Perform ad hoc initiatives for Tradewind executives, as needed.
  • Support and drive initiatives to streamline and improve the financial pro forma, and stay abreast of tax updates and shifts within the industry.

Requirements

  • A business degree with a concentration in Finance.
  • Two years of analytical and financial modeling experience.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. An ability to quickly read, review, analyze and summarize large amounts of information, such as project information and market research.
  • Project management skills and an ability to be highly organized and manage multiple processes and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present written and oral information to Management and the customer.
