Accounts Payable Clerk

Position Description:

The successful candidate will report to the Controller and will work within a small team of AP individuals to perform the Accounts Payable functions for Tradewind Energy and multiple project entities.  Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
  • Coding of invoices to a general ledger account.
  • Entry of invoices across multiple project entities.
  • Prepare and process checks for multiple companies.
  • Vendor Set up and maintenance.
  • Assist employees in expense report submission and review.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Answer all vendor inquiries.
  • Maintain accounts payable files.
  • 1099 preparation.
  • Special projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

Candidate should be a team player who is willing to take initiative to get the job done.  Candidate must be organized, have excellent oral and written communication skills, have excellent analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment.  Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills are essential.  Strong computer skills are required, proficient in MS Word and Excel, and preferred experience with Dynamics AX.

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is preferred, but relevant work experience may be substituted.
