Tradewind Energy closed its doors on June 20th in order to give back to the community. With almost 80 employees participating (including those that flew into Kansas City to volunteer) the morning started with filling 120 backpacks & 240 hygiene kits for KVC and also putting together 2,750 sack lunches for Harvesters that will help feed children this summer. Company-wide we donated over $15,000 to these charities.
That same afternoon our team split up to help with some local needs. One group laid sod and a brick walkway for House of Hope , another crew helped out at Harvesters packing food for local senior citizens, a team went to Urban Farming Guys and helped weed their garden and harvest food and a large group assisted a local charity, Christmas in October, by building wheelchair ramps, stairs and exterior home maintenance for those in need.
