A New Heat Record for Alaska

Never a dull moment in global weather and climate, especially this spring. As the Midwest and Southern Plains experience an extended period of below average temperatures and record rainfall, central Alaska is experiencing record heat, setting a record for the earliest date with temperatures reaching 90 degrees.
